The second festival of Urals-Scottish culture - "Burns&Vysotsky: one soul - two poets"
Date and place: the event took place on January 22nd in the big hall of Sverdlovsk State Philharmony.
Mission: the mission of the event was to promote scottish culture in Urals and Urals culture in Scotland, establish and strengthen partnerships with state, social and commercial organizations of Urals region, Russia, Scotland and Great Britain for futher realization of joint activities.
Programm
- Photo-exhibition "Russian Scotland" devoted to memorable to Russians places in Scotland

- Wisky-tasting sponsored by USS partners "The famous grouse"
- Performance of Urals State Conservatory symphony orchestra. Musical compositions played by the orchestra were written by urals composers in Scottish style and specially for the festival.

- Awarding of the translation contest winners. Participants translated poems of Burns into Russian language.

- Performance of Sverdlovsk State Child Philharmony jazz-choir
- Special guest from USA Vadim Astrakhan performed the songs of Vladimir Visotsky in English translation from his new album.

- Traditional guest from Scotland - musician, poet and singer Tommy Beavitt - performed the songs from his new album.
